Dr. Joseph Guy Sr.
2. Dr. Joseph Albert Guy Sr. moved his family and his slaves from North Carolina to Tuscumbia County, Alabama in 1825. Millie Guy was around 15 years old at this time.
3. Tuscumbia County, Alabama, home of the Guy Plantation, is where Millie's two sons Baldy Guy (1841-1911) and George Guy (1845-1928) were born.
4. After the death of Dr. Joseph Albert Guy Sr in 1830, Millie Guy and later on, her two sons Baldy and George, were owned by Dr. Guy's youngest son who was also name Joseph Albert Guy Jr, born in 1814 and died in 1898.
5. It is not known at this time if Millie Guy's sons were fathered by another slave on the plantation or by one of her slave owners.
