Several months ago I came upon this outstanding, well-organized, website that truly is a shining example of a families pride and self determination to embrace their legacy and secure their future for generations to come.
Everyday I read the Daily Inspiration contibuted by Mrs. Pamela Guy-Srayhorn. I read it each morning as I start my day. I can not tell you how her words have impacted my own personal walk of faith and the renewal of my spirit. Each and every word is God centered and has power. Yet it is written in a way that is relevant for whatever your circumstances may be. I have never seen anything like this and I encourage her to continue on her path as she is truly a blessing and I have no doubt and instrument of God with a calling upon her life.
Though I am not a relative, please know that you all are doing a great job and every family member I am sure is extremely proud and appreciative  of this website and the contrubutions made by all,
There is nothing more important than the ties of the family. What you have documented illustrates the common struggle of all of our people that were once slaves in America. I commend you for being organized and telling your story so that your children may never forget as they are motivated to move forward by your collective presence and stregnth.

First I would like to say that looking at the Guy family history and organization brought tears to my eyes and I'm not even related to this great family!  I just wanted to make an unrelated comment to commend your whole family for pulling together like you have to create such a great Memorial to the GUY family legacy!!  Your family has inspired me to do the same for my Wolfe relatives.  God Bless you all!!!

During our Breakfast/Family Business Meeting on July 11, 2009 an attorney from a well known law firm in Memphis will be on hand to speak to the Guy Family Members.

The attorney will advise us on the process of setting up both The Guy Family Foundation and The Guy Family Investment Club.

We would like as many family members who can to attend the breakfast.

Hello everyone.  This is a time when finances seem to be overwhelming.  but they truly are not.  in this day and time there are many opportunities.  stocks are cheaper, and housing is more affordable due to the circumstances.  we have always depended on the government to take care of our people, take care of our elderly, take care of our widows, take care of our young, and to fund our education, but guess what we have to start taking care of our own.  in this day and time we need to start to sending more of our children to elite colleges instead of just where they can get a scholarship or grant money to.  we need to make sure that our elderly are taken care of, and not just sent off to a government assisted home.  we have to make sure that all of our family can afford health and life insurance.  we have to make sure that our family is financially secure.  at the last family reunion there were 440 or more members who attended and this tells me that this is just a percentage of our actual family members.  we need a fund that people that want to attend can come and not worry about how they are going to get there or where they will stay when they get there.  we need an educational fund.  we need a fund to save the graveyard at Phoenix.  we need a medical fund so that in when one of ours gets sick, there is money not only to take care of the person that is sick but money to help the caregivers.  So we come from strong roots, roots that fought for what was theirs.  and let us come together and do this.  for you see we can do all things through Christ and we can stand strong as a family united.  God bless.
